The dummy models of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro provide a clear view of the new color options.

The launch of Apple’s iPhone 16 series is just around the corner, and as with every new release, Apple is expected to introduce fresh colors to set the new models apart from the previous ones. For the iPhone 16 Pro series, a leak from Sonny Dickson on X suggests that Apple will introduce a new bronze color, replacing the blue titanium of the iPhone 15 Pro. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo offers a different perspective, claiming that the iPhone 16 Pro will be available in black, white or silver, gray, and rose gold.

According to the images shared by Dickson, the new bronze iPhone 16 Pro stands out from any iPhone that Apple has released to date. It also has a distinctly different look compared to the mystic bronze variant of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra that Samsung introduced in 2020.

Despite utilizing the same premium titanium frame, theApple iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to have a distinct appearance and feel, featuring a glossier finish in contrast to the brushed look of the iPhone 15 Pro. The slightly curved titanium frame on the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to resemble the stainless steel look of the iPhone 14 Pro, but with added durability since titanium is much stronger and less prone to scratches.

In addition to these design changes, the iPhone 16 Pro is anticipated to feature a larger action button and a new capture button. These enhancements are also expected to be included in the base models, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.

Aside from these design updates, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro will retain the same industrial design that has been a hallmark since the iPhone 12 Pro. It will continue to feature a large triple-camera setup on the back, along with a LiDAR sensor and an LED flash.

The Apple iPhone 16 Pro series is likely to receive a significant upgrade over its predecessor, with the Apple iPhone 16 Pro expected to feature a large 6.3-inch screen and the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasting a massive 6.9-inch display—the largest ever on an iPhone. Like previous models, these screens will offer sharp, color-accurate visuals, and will maintain the 120Hz refresh rate under the familiar Super Retina XDR branding. The pill-shaped Dynamic Island at the top will also make a return.

The iPhone 16 Pro series is rumored to be powered by Apple’s most powerful mobile chip yet, the A18 Pro, and will come with at least 8 GB of RAM. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to start with 256 GB of storage, with options available up to 1 TB.

With a larger display comes more room for a bigger battery, and according to leaker Instant Digital, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 3,577mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a significantly larger 4,676mAh battery—the biggest ever in an iPhone. Both models will come with iOS 18 pre-installed, though the new Apple Intelligence features are expected to arrive with the iOS 18.1 update.

Apple hasn’t raised iPhone prices in the US for several years, and the iPhone 16 Pro series is likely to be priced similarly to its predecessor. According to a report by Money Control, Apple will also begin manufacturing the iPhone 16 Pro series in India for the first time, which could result in a slight price reduction in the country.

Rumored Features

  • Larger 6.3″ and 6.9″ Sizes
  • New “capture” button

Pricing

The component costs for the standard iPhone 15 models were at a record high, rising 16 percent compared to the iPhone 14 models. Although Apple absorbed much of the increased production costs for the iPhone 15 lineup, it may need to raise prices for the iPhone 16 to maintain overall revenue. However, there haven’t been any persistent rumors suggesting price hikes, so at this point, we expect the iPhone 16 Pro models to be priced similarly to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
