Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language comedy-horror film directed by Amar Kaushik, with a screenplay by Niren Bhatt, and co-produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios. As the fifth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe, it serves as a sequel to the 2018 hit Stree. The movie features Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The plot revolves around a group of friends who must confront a sinister force abducting the women of Chanderi.

The movie Stree, starring Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana, which was released on August 31, 2018, proved to be a hit six years ago. You can now watch it on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. However, if you’re assuming that Stree 2, which earned over 500 crores at the box office on a budget of 50 crores, will also be released on this platform, you’re mistaken. The OTT platform for Stree 2 will not be Disney+ Hotstar but rather Prime Video.

According to some media reports, Stree 2 will start streaming on Prime Video from September 27. Following this news, people have been reacting online. One user wrote, “How can it be in just 6 weeks? The timeline is usually 8 weeks.” Another user asked, “Will it only be available in Hindi?”

When it comes to box office collections, Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, continues to dominate the box office. It has now positioned itself as the third-highest-grossing Hindi film in the history of Indian cinema on the domestic front.
According to early data from Sacnilk.com, Stree 2 has earned approximately ₹527 crore (net) in India within 25 days. On its 25th day, which also marks its fourth Sunday, the film collected ₹10.75 crore. For comparison, the Hindi collection of Baahubali 2 was ₹510.99 crore. The worldwide total has already crossed ₹759.30 crore, leaving fans eagerly awaiting its OTT release.
