Vivo Y29 5G Debuts in India: Pricing, Features, and Availability Details
Vivo has added to its Y-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo Y29 5G, starting at Rs 13,999.
Vivo has introduced the Vivo Y29 5G smartphone in India, a mid-range offering priced from Rs 13,999. The device features an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and Vivo touts its “Military Grade” durability, making it the first in its segment to offer this level of robustness.
The Vivo Y29 5G boasts a sleek design with a distinctive circular Dynamic Light, adding vibrant lighting effects to the camera module during music playback and dynamic reminders. It features a slim 8.1mm profile and weighs 198g.
The device sports a 6.68-inch 120Hz LCD display with a peak brightness of 1000 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even under bright sunlight. These specifications are competitive for its price range.

In terms of photography, the Vivo Y29 5G is equipped with a 50MP rear camera featuring AI Night Mode for detailed low-light photography, complemented by a secondary 0.08MP camera. The 8MP front camera delivers crisp selfies. Additional features like Scene Modes, AI Photo Enhance, AI Erase, and a rear flash enhance image quality. The ring-shaped LED flash not only supports dynamic lighting but also allows users to customize its colors for alerts, music playback, and reminders.
At its core, the Vivo Y29 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor built on a 6nm architecture. It packs a robust 5500mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge, capable of fully charging in just 79 minutes, according to Vivo. The company also claims the battery retains 80% of its capacity even after four years of use.
For connectivity, the Vivo Y29 5G supports 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG, FM radio, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It runs on Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button for added convenience.
